Climate change adaptions printed on information towers

Concretisation of the measure

Within the KlAnG-project it was tried to do as much sensitization work as possible on the topic of climate-change-adapted behaviour. For this purpose, the information infrastructure already existing or established is used. Since communication at major events takes place anyway, the resource-saving approach was extended to include the aspect of climate-adapted behaviour. The Kirchentag includes so-called Information Towers, where important information about the respective venue and the local programme can be found. Some of these Information Towers are equipped with a water tap. On the respective site with water tapping points, participants could not only inform themselves about the KlAnG project, but also get important behavioural hints regarding extreme weather events.

Climate adaptation aspect

Sensitised participants pay more attention to themselves and others – therefore heat-related illnesses could be prevented by good prevention work.
